Senior Moments: How Does Wisconsin Sound

Date: February 2, 2017 Time: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Event Description How Does Wisconsin Sound?" with UW Madison music professor, Susan Cook. Wisconsin has a remarkable musical past, one that shows the individual and collective power of its native and emigrant peoples, and its regional, national and international connections and relationships. This talk presents snapshots from the state's historical and current soundscapes identifying the circumstances under which musical practices were made, remembered and changed. Senior Moments is a free, monthly event for older adults that features an activity, a guest lecturer, a musical or dramatic performance, or a hands on seminar. Registration is required for all Senior Moments programs. For more information about Senior Moments programs visit the Delafield Public Library at 500 Genesee Street, call 262-646-6230, or log on to DelafieldLibrary.org.
